Thigh lift

A thigh lift is indicated in patients that have a large amount of excess skin in especially the inner thigh area. This may result from aging, genetics or weight loss. This procedure involves a scar placed in the groin and extending to the crease under the buttocks, with the undermining of the skin and lifting it. For more information about the procedure, see this Thigh Lift link. The excess tissue is then trimmed and closed as inconspicuously as possible. Liposuction is usually also used to shape the thigh as well. A compression garment is used to reduce the post-operative swelling. Recovery usually is approximately two weeks.
