This is a 30 year old female who presented with tuberous breasts – characterized by a lack of tissue, asymmetry, shorter nipple-inframammary fold distance, a narrower base, and occasionally nipple-areolar complex herniation. Improving the volume and shape of this category of breasts is more challenging than a routine breast augmentation. This patient is 6 months from breast implant placement with scoring of the inferior breast parenchyma (to expand the lower pole) and she is very pleased with her improvement in symmetry, shape, and projection.
