Breast Implant Removal

Before & After Photos

Patient #253466

This is a 57 year old female with a history of breast implant placement (285 cc, subglandular/prepectoral, silicone) over 30 years ago. She developed significant capsular contracture, which caused discomfort and asymmetry. We performed implant removal, bilateral complete capsulectomies, and an inverted-T mastopexy. She is shown 2.5 months after the procedure. Note that the upper pole of the right breast is less full postoperatively – this is due to the higher position of the implant/calcified capsule and the effect on the overlying soft tissue.
