Aging, pregnancy, and changes in weight can alter the shape and appearance of different parts of the torso and extremities. While changing your diet and exercising can help get your body into shape, sometimes these efforts are not quite enough. Issues such as loose, stretched skin and stubborn fat deposits can make it difficult to achieve the figure that you want. At Remington Plastic Surgery, we have helped countless men and women reach their goals by providing them with amazing postoperative results. From body contouring procedures like liposuction and abdominoplasty, to reconstructive procedures such as scar revision, Dr. Brad Remington and Dr. Austin Remington can provide you with the personalized care that you need.

Arm Lift

Arm lift, also known as brachioplasty, treats redundant skin and fat of the upper arms. Weight loss and aging can cause the upper arm skin to sag, creating an appearance that may reduce your confidence when wearing certain types of clothing. The goal is to give a smooth and contoured shape to the upper arm.

Liposuction

Liposuction is a powerful technique used to eliminate stubborn fat. By making a small incision near the targeted area, the fat can be loosened and removed using a thin, tube-shaped instrument called a cannula. Liposuction is used to treat various areas such as the neck, chest, arms, thighs, and abdomen. Liposuction relies on your skin elasticity to contract after the underlying fat is removed.

Tummy Tuck

Tummy tuck, also known as abdominoplasty, is designed to remove excess tissue and tighten the muscles of the abdomen. Many patients have concerns about the appearance of their abdomen. The problem is often not just fat, but also redundant skin and separated abdominal muscles that contribute to a less-toned waist and difficulty fitting into clothing. An abdominoplasty can be customized to your anatomy to improve your appearance and confidence.

Lower Body Lift

A lower body lift, also known as a torsoplasty, is a more extensive version of a tummy tuck. The procedure targets excess skin and fat of the lower back, hips, and abdomen. Patients often present after massive weight loss with redundant, loose skin that cannot be improved from diet and exercise. While this involves a longer recovery, it can result in a dramatic improvement.

Thigh Lift

A thigh lift treats excess tissue in the inner/medial thigh region, involving surgical excision of loose skin and fat. This body contouring procedure is most commonly performed for patients that have achieved weight loss but are bothered by skin excess in the thigh area. The scars are hidden as much as possible, and the result gives patients a tighter, more proportional look.

Scar Revision

All surgical procedures and some instances of trauma result in scars. The human body is incredible in its ability to regenerate, but perhaps the healing process left your scar unsightly, widened, or raised. Scar revision aims to improve the appearance of these previous wounds – this may be as simple as re-excision or as complicated as rearranging the nearby tissue. Plastic surgeons are experts in wound care and optimizing the healing environment for all locations on the body.

Skin Lesions

From skin cancer to benign masses, patients may feel inclined to trust a plastic surgeon to excise the lesion and close the wound. We work closely with our dermatology colleagues in the area and are happy to work as a team to give you an excellent outcome.

Arrange a Consultation

During your consultation, you can expect a personalized approach to your anatomy and a realistic perspective on what can be accomplished. If indicated, your surgical plan will be illustrated and thoroughly explained. Body or extremity surgery often has a longer recovery than surgery on the face or breasts, and this is important to understand. At Remington Plastic Surgery, we recognize that discussing parts of the body that we are unsatisfied with or embarrassed about can be a vulnerable, difficult step to take. We have a reputation for providing an encouraging, comfortable environment for the patient and their concerns.
